Solutions to reduce material volatility characteristics
Solutions to reduce material volatility characteristics

PVC cling film is a food preservation product made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as raw material, with high transparency and good extensibility, suitable for packaging fresh ingredients such as vegetables and fruits. Plasticizer DEHA (Di (2-ethylhexanol) Adipate, also known as DOA) is often added to PVC cling film. DEHA plasticizer is prone to volatilization and can generate excessive smoke during processing of cling film, posing a certain risk to the occupational health of workers; During the use of cling film, DEHA is prone to volatilization and migration, posing potential hazards to users.
To solve the above problems, UPC Group has launched an upgraded version of DEHA plasticizer - DINA (diisononyl adipate). The volatilization of plasticizers can be reduced by 57%, and the volatilization of products can be reduced by 65%. The relevant volatilization data are as follows:
| Name | Plasticizer volatility characteristics(100℃,16h) |
Cling Film volatility characteristics(100℃,168h) |
| DINA (%) | 5.6 | 5.3 |
| DOA (%) | 12.9 | 15.1 |
