Behind the Scenes — How UPC Ensures Quality for Every Shipment
Behind the Scenes — How UPC Ensures Quality for Every Shipment
Have you ever wondered what a product goes through before it is shipped?
At UPC Group, shipment is not merely the end of logistics. It represents the fulfilment of our quality commitment. Every production batch undergoes comprehensive quality control, from Incoming Quality Control (IQC) of raw materials, Process Quality Control (PQC) during manufacturing, to Final Quality Control (FQC) prior to shipment. Each step is rigorously monitored to ensure consistent and reliable performance delivered to our customers.
1. Acid Value (AV): A Critical Indicator of Reaction Completion
Acid Value is a key parameter used to evaluate the extent of esterification or polymerization reactions. Through precise titration analysis, we are not simply measuring acidity. We are interpreting the reaction’s progression and completeness.
• Process Monitoring: Elevated acid values may indicate incomplete reaction equilibrium, potentially affecting product stability.
• Quality Assurance: Low and stable acid values confirm sufficient reaction completion, effectively reducing downstream application risks.
2. Color Measurement: A Direct Reflection of Purity and Thermal Stability
Color is more than visual appearance. It serves as an important indicator of chemical purity and process control.
• Specification Verification: Standard color reference comparisons ensure product clarity and batch-to-batch consistency.
• Early Warning Mechanism: Color deviation may signal raw material impurities, overheating during reaction, or storage degradation.
3. GC-FID Analysis: Molecular-Level Fingerprint Identification
Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detection (GC-FID) enables separation and quantification of individual components, functioning as a molecular fingerprint for detailed compositional analysis.
• Purity Verification: Accurate separation and quantification ensure product composition meets strict specifications.
• Trace Impurity Detection: Even ultra-low-level impurities or by-products can be identified, eliminating variables that could impact end-use performance.
4. Moisture Control: Safeguarding Long-Term Stability
Moisture is a critical factor affecting chemical storage stability and application performance.
• Karl Fischer Titration: Advanced Karl Fischer moisture analysis measures water content at the ppm level, ensuring product reliability and shelf stability.
At UPC, every inspection report represents our unwavering commitment to “Quality Without Compromise.”
We do more than test products. We safeguard the trust our customers place in the UPC brand.
